These songs were recorded in a very small Studio at Dambulla using computer software called REASON and Q-Base. Most of the Artists and Technicians were local guys from Dambulla area. (1). The Following CD containing 3 Ragas is created by Dr. Sisira Karunarathne, B.Mus., Mus. Ph.D. (Music Theraphy) BHU - India. Dr. Karunarathne is a visiting lecturer at Institute of Aesthetic Studies, University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka (Phone: 0094-112822300). He spent over twelve years studying Indian classical music on Sitar at Banaris Hindu University in India. Subsequently he carried out a successful research program on Music Theraphy leading to a PhD. His music aims are to attract inherent beauty of mind thereby the listener will be absorbing deeper and deeper into the melody letting oneself free of stress.

Sisira dedicates this album to the one who inspired him, Pt. Nikhil Banerjee (1932-1986) - a great Sitar player in the Indian classical tradition.

Music Theraphy is scientifically proven way of curing many diseases and improving emotional, physiological and psychological well being. As a practitioner of this method, Sisira has been fascinated by the healing effects of this music.
