Nalin Jayawardena, the Australia based Srilankan, Sinhala singer-songwriter is one of the latest artists to benefit from establishing friendships in the Facebook. He recognised these new hidden talents and have joined with them to produce some original songs to be included in this album. Nalin expects that this opportunity given will provide these poets with an opportunity to fullfil their dreams of becoming a song writer. He wishes this album will give them more exposure and open doors oneday to become great song writers in the Sinhala music world.
Majority of the poems were selected from female poets who he feels have difficulty penetrating the male-dominated old boy network of lyrics writers in srilanka. He does not want to forget some talented young male writers as well as rarely heard sinhala poetry veterans.
Nalin thanks them all for their generosity and for their well wishes towards him.
For the high quality listening pleasure of the fans, these songs are available in physical CD format and also on international music download sites as well as for free downloading through netCD site in the coming months.
